Who are the members of Sweet Adelines? Sweet Adelines International is a worldwide organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performance. Its 27,000 members are women who are:

-well educated;
-travel frequently;
-love to shop;
-always looking for performance wear;
-interested in self-improvement;
-and have substantial disposable income.

The annual convention and competition is an extremely anticipated event attended by Sweet Adeline members from all over the world. The convention in 2007 will be held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Your presence at this event - as an exhibitor, advertiser or both - guarantees exposure of your product or service to a receptive crowd. Attendees are serious about singing, learning, competing, seeing old friends and having fun.

Booth Space
For personal contact with potential customers, nothing beats an exhibition of your best products or services at Harmony Bazaar. A long tradition at the annual convention, Harmony Bazaar provides a convenient venue to display your items and services. For exhibitor information, click here.

The International Convention Program
Introduce your product or service to the Sweet Adelines market, or lead convention-going Sweet Adelines to your booth at Harmony Bazaar through the International Convention Program. The 60+ page program contains the complete competition schedule and listing of convention events and activities, with space for attendees to fill in scores and winners. Programs become keepsakes and souvenirs for our members, and are not thrown away at the end of convention.

The following file formats are acceptable: TIFF, EPS or PDF. All ads must be high resolution (300 dpi) with fonts embedded or converted to outlines. Four color images must be CMYK mode in TIFF, EPS or PDF format. Prices are listed on the download Advertising Rate Sheet and Form.

Space reservations, materials and full payment are all due by August 1, 2007. Ads can be either e-mailed to saichris@yahoo.com or mailed on a CD. If your files exceed 10K and you are sending via e-mail, please send by www.yousendit.com to saichris@yahoo.com. It is a free service. Advertiser must contact Christine Hill at 800.992.7464 or e-mail saichris@yahoo.com to confirm receipt of ad. A hard copy proof sent by mail is appreciated.

Daily Convention Newsletter
Distributed each morning Wednesday through Sunday, the daily newsletter furnishes up-to-the-minute details on convention activities as well as the previous day’s competition scores.

Business card-sized black and white ads (3.5" w x 2" h) will be available in each issue of the newsletter for $75 ($60 for member groups) each. Ads must be high resolution (300 dpi) with fonts embedded or converted to outlines. The following formats are acceptable: TIFF, EPS or PDF.

Video Billboards
Announce your message to the captive audience inside the competition venue via our 12' x 16' big screens. Between performances Wednesday through Saturday, your message will be projected onto the screens all week. Advertising on the video billboard is $185. A total of two slides is allowed for $185. Additional slides can be purchased for a discounted price of $70 each.

Each slide runs for 20 seconds at a time. The frequency of display will depend on the number of advertisers and the amount of time between performances. Slides run continuously throughout the competitions on screen and off. As the competition video is turned on and off screen, the slide show does not pause, but rather continues in its cycle. Therefore, the number of time slides are shown cannot be guaranteed for each day.

All slides must be in Microsoft Power Point On-Screen Format for PCs. Final screen resolution should be 1024 x 768. Fonts must be PC fonts only and included with the PowerPoint file. Best common PC fonts to use are Times New Roman and Arial. Fonts can be WordArt or JPEG images. Font size should be 32 point or higher for greater visibility. Graphic images should be JPEG images. Animation is acceptable.

Convention Address Mailing List
Send out your message to convention-going Sweet Adelines before they arrive, or remind them of your product or service after they return home. Address list sells for $300 on disk. Preconvention deadline and payment is due by October 1, 2007.

Web Site Banner Ads
The Sweet Adelines International Web site (www.sweetadelineintl.org) is a very popular and busy place during the week of convention. Members log on to check the latest information during the convention week and to tune into the convention Webcast. Members also check the site weeks before the convention to plan their convention route. During convention week the Web site boasts an astonishing 402,000 hits per day, and 15,000 people listen to the Webcast.

For only $175 during convention month, a banner ad is the way to get your product or service noticed. Banner dimensions are 266 pixels x 52 pixels (2.861” w x .722” h). File size shall not exceed 12K. Giff or JPEG format is recommended. Animation is allowed. Space reservations, materials and full payment are all due by September 1, 2007. Webcast Shout Out
Purchase a :10 second live announcement to be read over the Webcast for only $15 each. Webcast commentators will congratulate or cheer on your favorite competitor or promote your products and services. This unique advertising vehicle has the potential to reach thousands of targeted barbershop enthusiasts.

Announcement will be made prior to a performance group or at an approximate time and day, according to your preference. Announcements must not exceed 25 words. Full payment and copy are due by September 1, 2007. Send order form, payment and copy to Sweet Adelines International, Attn: Christine Hill, 9110 S. The Pitch Pipe
The Sweet Adelines' quarterly magazine, The Pitch Pipe, provides an excellent venue for establishing familiarity with your products or services both before and after the convention. The July 2006 issue will be distributed at the convention from the Sweet Adelines exhibit booth. One secret of good advertising is repetition, and The Pitch Pipe is an ideal medium for repeat exposure. This option is available by calling Joey Mechelle Stenner, Pitch Pipe Editor at 800-992-7464, ext. 126. Rate sheets are also available online on our Web site.
